Helping Young Artists Reach The Next Level


The art of listening and reacting will be studied in this class. Students will learn from a Master actor why and how these traits will make them better at their craft.
Head, chest, mix and belt are all vocal terms students have heard. This class will clarify what each of them means and teach the proper technique to achieve them.
A Broadway-style dance call and class will teach students in jazz and ballet. Students will be coached in these styles to better their technique and form.
Physical Comedy - pratfalls, stage slaps and punches, and general silliness will be taught in this special class. Students will learn from the very ancient art of clowns.

The aspects of lighting, sound, props, costumes and scenery will be touched upon in this class. Giving the students an appreciation of what goes on behind the scenes.

In The Weekly Classes:

We will split the students into two groups. Each group will round-robin the classes for the day. In the Acting class, students will be focusing on characterization and technique. Monologues or scenes will be chosen for the students to perform at the final showcase. The Voice and Movement class will hone students' abilities in music and dance. Each class will focus on two group numbers teaching them singing, movement while singing and performance standards. These numbers will be performed at the final showcase.

Workshop Information

6 week workshop begins September 26th, 2017
Three classes per week:
  • Tuesday, Thursday 5 - 6:30 pm
  • Saturday 9 am - 12 noon

  • Each student receives a tote bag, binder with curriculum, notes, exercises, Kids In The Space T-shirt, and certificate of participation.

    *Tuition: $600


    has been working in youth theater for more than 35 years. He has produced, directed, music directed and/or choreographed more than 50 youth productions and has taught numerous classes in acting, improvisation, voice, movement, dance, musical theater and much more. Todd believes young people can do anything they want and loves helping them achieve their goals. Some of his former students include Kirstin Maldonado and Mitch Grassi of the Grammy Award-winning Pentatonix, Miguel Cervantes (Hamilton in HAMILTON - Chicago), Major Attaway and Brian Gonazales (ALADDIN - Broadway), Jennifer Stone of Disney's The Wizards of Waverly Place, Jay Johnson (Chip in ON THE TOWN - Broadway) and Will Ganss (ABC News). Todd looks forward to giving you a boost as you reach for your star.

    A thriving Las Vegas entertainer as the lead host/singer/dancer in Las Vegas mainstage shows including Jerry Mitchell's PEEPSHOW at Planet Hollywood, Anita Mann's FANTASY at the Luxor, Johnny Stewart's ISLAND HEAT at Treasure Island, and Jennifer Romas's SEXXY at the Westgate Hotel, lead female vocalist in DIGITAL CITY, & PRESIDENT/CEO of 2 the NEXT LEVEL, is honored to spearhead Kids in THE SPACE with TODD HARD. Before landing in Las Vegas, Charlene's favorite roles included "Gigi Van Trahn"/"Miss Saigon" in the original Second National Broadway Company and Broadway Company of Miss Saigon and "Linda Low" in the pre-Broadway production of Flower Drum Song. Charlene CELEBRATES her calling, combining her gifts and loves of music, children, the arts, with this opportunity to work with Mark Shunock and direct "Kids in the Space." Charlene simultaneously looks forward to continuing her journey as the CEO & President of her own corporation committed to opening doors and providing the most comprehensive resources and opportunities for all those aspiring to take their passions, desires, and dreams "2 the NEXT LEVEL"!!!
